{Final Post on Katie...I Think}

I know I am on vacation and I know I maybe shouldn't be working on Katie's pictures, but there you go. I am taking plenty of Jackson Hole pictures, only with my holga and polaroid, so I can't really show you those. Plus, I couldn't sleep last night and so I worked on these instead. I love how they turned out. So many fun locations and so much creative freedom. The lighting was wonderful and everything came together beautifully. I love how diverse the images are. I guess that is bound to happen when you shoot all day. We even had one more location that we had to abandon due to time. A million thanks Katie. I hope you love them as much as I do.

Lindsey-

1st and foremost- Shame on you for working on these on vacation!

2nd- I LOVE them! So fun and definitely diverse. I can't wait to see them all. That one of me reading is fun. I like that it's secretly my favorite book. Makes that pic special. I also think that super stinky seriously gross couch and those pokey rocks inside the big rock were worth it for those great shots. I'm also really in love with the 1st one with the window pane. It's like a have some secret behind there.

Not sure about the water ones. Maybe it's just because I feel like I look like a wet rat. Who knows.....

and p.s.- who knew asian people had such killer freckles? haha

Okay, if you look like a wet rat, then I want to look like a wet rat! Seriously beautiful! That one in the water where you are looking at the camera.. you look like a true model. LOVE them!

She went in the water? In her wedding dress? Really?

Lindsey said...

Yes, she really went in the water. If you read the earlier posts on Katie's pictures (which includes a link to Katie's post) you will see why she did it. You can also check out www.trashthedress.com.
"Trashing" your dress is obviously a very personal decision. It isn't for everyone. Some people make their dresses into baby blessing outfits and some save them for their daughters and as a keepsakes. Katie wanted to have lots of great pictures to remember her dress.
A "trash the dress" session is typically done sometime after the wedding day and is discussed in great detail with the bride. Some brides get pretty adventurous and Katie was that kind of gal.

I had a friend, that went to the thift store and picked out a nice, but cheap wedding dress and did her "trash the dress" shots in that, instead of her how wedding dress.. These pictures turned out amazing! I don't know you, I stalked you from Caity's blog, but these were crazy-good pictures!!!

Oh MY gosh, what a romantic and diverse bridal session! It's hard to believe you got to all those locations in one shoot! I would absolutely never get my dress wet, but kudos to Katie for her courage. Dang... WOW! I need to come up with better superlatives... Love your style!
