Alex and Blake and a Shout-Out to Idaho Falls

Oh, how I love Idaho.  I really do.  Sun Valley is in Idaho.  And now I can say I love Idaho Falls.  Alex and Blake's wedding was just about perfect and all it's loveliness is up next.

Random story, though.  I have been to Idaho Falls exactly twice in my life.  The first time I was 10 and on my way to Yellowstone with my family.  And we stopped in Idaho Falls for lunch.  And ate our lunch about 2 seconds from where this picture was taken, and this is where I have my first memory of taking a photo.  It was with my mom's 28mm film camera that she let me use for the trip.  The photo?  A chipmumk eating some bread crumbs.  Amazing, right?  I'm 99% sure that photo is floating around somewhere in an album from that trip.  The rest are photos are of smoke, fire and herds of antelope (we went right during the big Yellowstone fire of 1988).  This story would be better if I could find it, right?

Anyway, this has very little to do with Alex and Blake, but it was a moment for me.  It's not very often that you get to revisit yourself, 20 years earlier, and remember exactly just what it felt like to be there.  And that is what Idaho Falls was for me, a little flash from my past.  Back before I knew a whole lot about anything and when chipmunks were exciting.  Those were good times.  So, I love you Idaho Falls.  Thanks for the memories!
