An Announcement

Last year I started making some significant changes to my business, primarily which was incorporating film into my shoots.  It is a direction I have wanted to go for a very long time, and I feel it has impacted my photography positively and significantly.  However, my pricing structure is several years old, and is based off of a completely digital workflow.  This year I have also wanted to include more film into my weddings and sessions.  So, I'm happy to announce that as of March 1st, 2011, I will be introducing all new wedding packages.  The pricing structure is pretty much the same, with a few adjustments.  The changes reflect my commitment to film and quality for all of my brides and families, is based off of customer feedback, and incorporates additional packages that are more suited to travel weddings.

In addition, I will be taking on less weddings than I have in the past.  I feel like this will give me more time to dedicate to each and every wedding, family, couple and also give my sweet daughter and husband, more of my time.
Which they definitely deserve as well.

So, what this means for you, is if you have been wanting to book and want my current pricing, now would be the time to call!

It's That Time of Year

Lucy Jayne Stewart was born October 27th: 6:19am, 7.7 lbs, 20 inches. We are thrilled, exhausted, awestruck, overwhelmed and 100% in love. She is absolutely lovely.

Due to my maternity leave all print and DVD orders for 2009 need to be placed by October 31. Wedding albums can be turned in anytime, but the deadline has been extended to 4 months. All print and DVD orders placed by 10.31 are guaranteed by Christmas.

My fabulous friend Marianne entered this picture in the Film is Not Dead Scholarship contest. I attended the July workshop in San Francisco and loved it. If anyone deserves this scholarship Marianne does. I have never seen anyone more dedicated to the art of photography then she is. We go way back to our art school days and now she teaches high school girls all about Cyanotypes and pinhole cameras. Give the girl some love and vote for her here.

Man, is it hot in Utah! Maybe having a bust air conditioner is not helping the heat situation.

{San Fran}

I'm going to be out of town from the 10th-16th for the "Film is Not Dead" workshop in San Francisco. I'm so excited for this workshop. I used film exclusively back in my school days and it will be great to explore it again. Jonathan is an amazing photographer and I think it will be a really educational and fun workshop.

Plus, right now I'm loving food. I can't think of a better place to be in a good food loving mood than San Francisco. We are also going over to the MOMA to check out the Richard Avedon, Robert Frank and Ansel Adams/Georgia O'Keefe exhibts. What an excess of awesomeness. If anyone has an fabulous ideas for things to do or places I'd love to hear from you.

This baby has been a long, long time coming and we couldn't be more thrilled, excited, giddy, ecstatic or slightly terrified. We can't wait to meet he/she sometime early November.

{Congratulations}

Abby and Ryan~2 hours ago

I just finished my 4th wedding in the last week and I just wanted to give a shout-out to all of my lovely brides and handsome grooms who are now all honeymooning in nice tropical places (lucky!)
These weddings were all dreams...nice weather, super nice couples and wonderful families. I had such a great time and I promise posts will be forthcoming (I'm planning on some serious catch-up).
In the meantime I'm going to be at two (yes two!) wedding expo's this weekend. I didn't realize the scheduling conflict when I arranged these so I had to do a little juggling.
I'm going to be at the Thanksgiving Point Expo this Friday and the JSMB on Saturday.
My amazing husband and super cute cousin are helping me out and are going to be at Thanksgiving Point on Saturday.

I hope to see you there!
